SECENE 5
Hermione: Of course here it is. Nicolas Flamel is the only known maker of the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Ron: What?
Hermione: Honestly, don’t you two read? The sorcerer’s stone a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It can transform any matter into pure gold and produces the 13)elixir life which will make you immortal.
Ron: Immortal?
Hermione: It means you never die.
Ron: I know what it means!
Harry: Shh! The only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicolas Flamel the new alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday. That’s what Fluffy’s guarding on the third floor. That’s what’s under the 14)trapdoor - the sorcerer’s stone.
SCENE 6
Professor Dumbledore: Another year has gone. And now as I understand it the House Cup needs awarding. Recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last minute points to award. To Ms. Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect while others were in grave 15)peril, 50 points. Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 50 points. And third, to Mr. Harry Potter for pure nerve and outstanding courage. I award Gryffindor House 60 points.
Hermione: We tied with Slytherine!
Professor Dumbledore: And finally it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom. Assuming that my calculations are correct I believe that a change of decoration is in order. (He flaps his hand and all the green, silver flags with a Slytherine serpent on them on the top of the hall turn to red, gold with a Gryffindor lion.) Gryffindor wins the house cup.
