贵阳医学院始建于1938年,是我国最旱的九所国立医学院校之一,经过65年的发展,现已成为一所以临床医学为主,集药学、检验、预防、护理于一体,并涉及文、理、法、商等多学科、多层次办学的综合性医科院校。目前,学 院下设有5个分院及4部3系19个本科专业和4个专科专业,即临床医学、临床医学专业眼耳鼻喉科学方向、临床医学专业神经精神病学方向、临床医学专业肿瘤学方向、临床医学专业儿科医学方向、临床医学专业急救医学方向、药学、预防医学、预防医学专业妇幼卫生学方向、医学检验、医学影像、口腔医学、麻醉学、法医学、护理学、英语专业医学英语方向、法学专业医事法律方向、生物医学工程等本科专业以及药品营销、医学检验设备维修及营销、临床医学、护理学等专科专业,在校生10000余人。全院共有32个硕士学位授予点(其中二级学科硕士学位授予点23个)。2003年我院被教育部及国家学位委员会批准增列为博士学位授予权单位,病理学与病理生理学专业成为博士学位授权点,每年面向全国招收攻读博士、硕士学位的研究生,同时,经国家教育部批准,我院可从每年的本科毕业生中免试推荐部分优秀学生直接就读硕士研究生,现有在读统招研究生500余人。
学院座落在交通便利,位置优越的贵阳市北京路上,占地面积540余亩,院内绿树成荫,环境优雅,有设置完备的教学楼、图书馆、实验大楼等,新建的学生宿舍完全达到公寓化标准,是一个求学深造的好地方。学院师资力量雄 厚,有教授(含主任医师)150余名、副教授(含副主任医师)400余名。我院拥有大批国内外最先进的大型诊疗设备 和高、精、尖科研仪器,各科教学均有完备的专用实验室,院内还设有专门的调频外语广播台。学院图书馆藏书50余万册,有完备的计算机网及管理系统。另外,贵州省医学分子生物学重点实验室、全省实验动物中心、贵州省医药图书资料中心和医学情报检索中心建在我院。学院有两所附属医院及23所教学实习医院,其中第一附属医院是我省最大的综合医院,现有病床1700余张。
建院65年来,我院已为国家输送了本、专科毕业生3万余人、硕士研究生500余人,与四川大学等校联合培养博士研究生多名.其中不少人已成为我国医药卫生战线上的骨干力量和著名专家。
INTRODUCTION
Founded in 1938,GuiYang Medical college is one of the nine earliest National Medical College ever established in China.After 65 years of development,the college has grown into a comprehensive institution with many faculties and departments.It has adopted the model of multi-layer and multi-form schooling which takes clinical Medicine as the main part,combing Pharmacy,clinical Laboratory Science, preventive Medicine,Nursing and the four branches of learning liberal arts,science,law and business.
Currently there are l2 faculties 1n the college offering courses in l8 undergraduate programs in medical education which include Clinical medicine,Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology,Neuropsychiatry,Oncology,Pediatrics,Emergency Treatment,Pharmacy, Preventive Medicine,Matemal-child Health,Clinical Laboratory Science,Imaging Medicine,Stomatology,Narcology,Forensic Medicine, Nursing,Medical English,Medical Law,and Biomedical Engineering,and 4 Professional Training Programs which consist of Drug Marketing,Medical Laboratory Equipment Maintaining,Marketing,clinical Medicine and Nursing.The Current student body of the college is nearly l0,000.
Up to now GuiYang Medical College have been authorized to confer master degree to 32 programs enrolling new students from all over the country every year,23 which are labeled as category II master programs.Being approved by State Ministry of Education,the college could recommend excellent students completing their undergraduate studies to study master degree.At present more than 500 postgraduates are studying in the college.In 2003,the college was authorized to confer doctor degree on pathophysiology and pathology. Located on Beijing Road with convenient transportation the college covers a total area of 36 hectares,boasting a quiet and secluded campus and covered with lush green trees that form canopies.Well-equipped with teaching building,library,laboratory building and newlybuilt apartments for students,it is an ideal placc for study and research.
The college has qualified teaching staff which includes l50 professors and 400 associate professors.Besides,it has a considerable amount of the most advanced Medical equipments and superior equipments for scientific Research.Each branch of learning has separate well-equipped laboratory.An EngllSh Broadcasting Station has also been set up on the campus to facilitate English learning and teaching in this college.
The college library has a collection of 50,000 volumes and an independent computer management system.In addition,the key Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Guizhou prvince,the Provincial Experimental Animal Center,the Medical Literature and Reference Materials Center of Guizhou Province as well as Medical information Retrieval Center have also been set up in the college.
