可能在华总装 空客选址天津

　　Airbus studies plans for assembly in China

　　空中客车（Airbus）昨日选定北京附近一个地点，可能用于生产其A320系列型号的飞机。该公司将于今年晚些时候决定，是否实施首次在中国总装飞机的计划。

　　Airbus will decide later this year whether to press ahead with plans to assemble aircraft in China for the first time， after yesterday selecting a site near Beijing which could produce aircraft from its A320 family.

　　这家欧洲飞机制造商希望，在华进行飞机总装，会使其在与波音公司（Boeing）争夺订单的激烈竞争中处于有利位置，同时也为其下一代窄体飞机吸引中国的投资。

　　The European aircraft manufacturer hopes that assembling aircraft in China will give it an edge in its fierce contest for orders with Boeing， and also attract Chinese investment for its next generation of narrow-body aircraft.

　　空客表示，一项初步的可行性研究已确定，将总装线放在中国北方的港口城市天津，专门面向中国市场。预计最终决定将于今年9月份作出，并于2008 年开始首批交货，到2010年将产量扩大至每月4架飞机。

　　Airbus said an initial feasibility study had identified the northern port city of Tianjin for the assembly line， which would be aimed exclusively at the Chinese market. A final decision is expected in September， and the first deliveries could start in 2008， expanding production to four aircraft a month by 2010.
