Loans for refurbishing houses refer to Renminbi consumer loans granted by the lender to borrowers to facilitate their own house refurbishing. The length of maturity of a loan for refurbishing houses is usually one to three years, with the longest not exceeding five years inclusive. The specific length of maturity depends on the nature of the borrower. The corresponding lending rate stipulated by the People's Bank of China applies to that on loans for refurbishing houses. If the length of maturity is within one year inclusive, interest amount shall be computed in accordance with the contracted interest rate, and the interest rate shall remain unchanged in case of adjustment of the legal interest rate; if the term is over one year, the interest rate shall be subject to interest rate adjustment, if any, made by the People's Bank of China. The ceiling of a loan for refurbishing houses shall not exceed 80% of the total house refurbishing amount.

家居装修贷款是指贷款人向借款人发放的用于借款人自用家居装修的人民币消费贷款。家居装修贷款期限一般为一至三年，最长不超过五年（含五年），具体期限根据借款人性质分别确定。家居装修贷款利率执行中国人民银行规定的相应档次贷款利率。贷款期限在一年以内（含一年），按合同约定利率计息，遇法定利率调整时，利率不变；贷款期限在一年以上的，遇法定利率调整，则按人民银行关于利率调整的规定进行利率调整。 　　家居装修贷款的最高金额不得超过家居装修工程总额的80%。
