宴会、招待口语类口译系列

在宴会上，宾主通常发表讲话，并且以祝酒词来结束讲话。祝酒词主要内容包括：
1．称呼（Addressing the party）
2．表示欢迎或感谢（Extending welcome or expressing thanks）
3．谈谈两国或两公司间现有关系（Comments on the existing relations between the two countries in general or between the two firms）
4．说明来访或举办活动的重要意义（Significance of the current visit or of the activity）
5．表示良好祝愿（Good wishes）
6．祝酒（Toasts）
Here are some expressions or sentences you might include in a toast:

1. Addressing the Party

The usual way to begin a toast is for the host to address the guest or guests of honor first and then the rest of the party in his fashion:
Mr. Smith
Ladies and Gentlemen
For husband and wife, use "Mr. And Mrs. Smith"
When addressing high officials or people of rank, use the right form of address .For example:
"Your Excellency, Mr. Minister,"
Less formally, one may address government officials as:
"Mr. Director,"
"Mr. Minister,"
"Mr. President,"

2．Extending Welcome

1) I wish to extend my warm welcome to you.
2) Allow me, first of all, to extend my warm welcome to the Chinese Delegation who have been invited to this country by this Company.
3) On behalf of the Textiles Corporation, I wish to warmly welcome you, Mr. Smith, and all the members of the Canadian Mission.
4) It is a great pleasure for me to preside at this dinner given by our trade mission in honor of the Chinese foreign trade officials.

3. Expressing Thanks
