However, people are likely to sacrifice environmental friendliness forcheapness and convenience when buying a car. Therefore, to cope with the urgent need of protecting the environment from being further polluted, our government is trying to levy a “pollution tax” on private cars, of which the amount of tax is dependent on the emission levels. While controversial views are expressed, as far as I am concerned, imposing a “pollution tax” is bound to be effective to cultivate a more environmentally friendly city.
