主要研究方向及特色:能源与环境材料。针对新能源与空天环境领域对材料的高性能应用需求,主要开展:(1)先进化学电源材料与器件。面向先进化学电源如超级电容器、锂离子电池、锂硫电池、锂氧电池等应用的关键科学与技术,重点研究多孔和纳米复合电极材料和催化材料的设计制备与绿色合成,开展具有高容量、高功率、高稳定性特征以及特种先进化学电源器件的组装。(2)空天环境催化和净化材料。面向有限空间和特殊环境安全保障关键科学与技术,重点研究具有催化、吸附、分离等高性能的多孔和纳米复合材料。(3)多孔和纳米复合材料制备方法及原理。开展多孔和纳米复合材料微纳结构的设计与合成,发展先进性能材料的环境协调及低成本的制备技术,探索结构与性能之间关系的基础理论。

1992年获吉林大学学士学位,1997年获吉林大学博士学位(导师徐如人院士)。1998-1999年,美国加州大学圣巴巴拉分校和法国国家科学研究中心拉瓦西研究所博士后(导师A.K.Cheetham教授)。1999-2001年,美国康涅迪格大学博士后(导师S.L.Suib教授)。2000年入选中国科学院“引进国外杰出人才-百人计划”。2001-2010年,中国科学院上海硅酸盐研究所研究员、博士生导师、课题组组长。2006年8月,日本东京大学JSPS访问学者。2010年至今,北京航空航天大学化学与环境学院教授、博士生导师。北京航空航天大学蓝天学者,蓝天创新团队负责人。中国化工学会化工新材料委员会理事(委员)。自然出版集团(Nature Publishing Group, NPG)Scientific Reports - Editorial Board Member (Chemistry)。

承担中国科技部纳米重大科学研究计划(973)课题,国家自然科学基金委重点项目、面上项目,中国科学院百人计划项目、创新基金项目,上海市科委基础研究重点项目、纳米专项等。荣获上海市科教党委系统科技创新人才奖(2006年);荣获国家自然科学奖二等奖(2011年,排名第三)。
